HOA PHONG LAN CHỜ ĐỢI
I would like to take my leave now,

TÔI MUỐN ĐEM CÁNH HOA CỦA TÔI
To go in this liberal time,

THEO THỜI GIAN TỰ DO NÀY
To return with both hands

ĐI RỒI VỀ VỚI CẢ ĐÔI TAY
The excess of what I've been allowed.

VƯỢT NGOÀI NHỮNG GÌ CHO PHÉP TÔI
A liberal going is such a beautiful thing!

SỰ TỰ DO SẼ ĐẸP NHƯ THẾ
Like nurturing an orchid:

GIỐNG NHƯ VUN TRỒNG HOA PHONG LAN
Live quietly

SỐNG HOÀN TOÀN YÊN LẶNG
On what has been abandoned with reluctance;

TỪ BỎ NHỮNG GÌ KHÔNG THÍCH
Stretch out stalks

VƯƠNG RA TRÔNG OAI VỆ
And make your own flower buds -
With regret almost.
